The Society will be represented at the Chadwell Heath History Fair on Saturday 8th April at St.Chad’s Church Hall, Chadwell Heath.

 
 
Our President Bill George has kindly submitted a letter to the council on behalf of the Society in support of its joint application with St. Margaret’s Church for the The Abbey: Unlocking Barking’s past, securing its future project.

 
 
Book now for our next coach trip!  On Saturday 25th June we will be visiting the Hemingford Abbots Flower Festival. £20 (includes coach and entrance fee).  Coach leaves Sainsbury,  Chadwell Heath at 9.45am and 10am Barking St. Margaret’s. Telephone Richard on 01708 867500. £5 deposit is required to secure a seat.

 
 
Our next meeting is on Monday 3rd April 2017 when Linda Rhodes gives an illustrated talk on The Fanshawe Family.

Last year the Society had a coach trip to the Essex Country Fair at Barleylands; sadly the event has now come to an end as it is no longer commercially viable.
