Bill George has produced a revised 2nd edition of the Frank Tingey drawings booklet, which was funded by the Tingey family. Copies are usually priced at £2.50, but members may purchase copies for 50p.
Following last month’s talk on Postman’s Park, I have arranged a visit to the park on Thursday 21st June at 10.30am. John Price, Head of History at Goldsmith’s College, University of London will be there to meet us and answers questions. Meet at either Barking station or Chadwell Heath station at 9.30am or be at the park in King Edward’s Street, EC1 7BT by 10.30.
Just a reminder for those going on the trip to the Ely Cathedral Flower Festival on Sunday 24th June that the coach leaves Sainsbury’s, Chadwell Heath at 9.30am and St. Margaret’s, Barking at 9.45am.

We are now going into our summer break and our next meeting is on Monday 3rd September when artist Verity-Jane Keefe will be talking about her new project Everyday futures which centres on the photographs of Dagenham’s onetime official photographer Egbert Smart.
