MONTHLY NEWSLETTER APRIL 2018

SOCIETY AND OTHER NEWS

Thirty hardy souls turned up for our coach trip to the Thriplow Daffodil Festival on a bitterly cold 18th March. No daffs, but we made the most of the day – we did beat an early retreat at 4pm instead of 5 (as did most of the stallholders!)

The  coach trip to the Ely Cathedral Flower Festival on Sunday 24th June is almost full (we had two seats left at the last count). The price is £22 per person which includes coach and entry to the festival. Deposits for this trip are now due.

Do not forget to come along to our stall at the Chadwell Heath History Fair – details below.

Please note that there is a change of programme for the 14th May meeting when John Price will now deliver a talk entitled Heroes of Postman’s Park: heroic self-sacrifice in Victorian London.
